I wanted to create more than just an image of a wild animal. I wanted to capture that moment of connection — the feeling you get when you look into its eyes and sense a world we can never truly know. There is strength in its gaze, but also vulnerability, freedom and a deep, untamed spirit.

Using my own specially created palette knives, I sculpt and carve through layers of paint, allowing the cheetah to slowly emerge from the canvas. Every mark is forged with expressive intent, bringing movement, texture and emotion to the painting and creating a powerful presence that feels alive.

For me, this painting is about freedom — the beauty of being exactly what you were born to be.
